Alpaslan Girayalp MSC Alpaslan Girayalp is the coordinator at PGlobal. He is responsible for international business development. He received his GCE at London University North Western Polytechnic, B.Sc.(Mining Engineering) & M.Sc. (Research) at Sheffield University and worked as research engineer at ICI in England. Upon returning to Turkey, he participated in the construction of Turkey’s first aluminium complex ,ETI Aluminium, a public corporation of ETIBANK. He served , respectivelt, as the mine manager, technical advisor to the general director, and as deputy general director, he directed a comprehensive reseach into inventory analysis of aluminium ore reserves throughout Turkey , supervising the feasibility reports pertaining to such mining & industrial investments, e.g.”Milas”,”Degirmenlik”,”Islahiye-Cabbardag” and “Kokaksu-Zonguldak”... Alpaslan Girayalp during his tenure at ETIBANK was also responsible for the international marketing of aluminium products . Subsequently, Alpaslan Girayalp joined the private sector and assumed positions such as marketing director, CEO & Vice-President, specializing in the development of business relations with such countries as Russia, Ukraine and other former Soviet Republics, as well as Italy, the Netherlands , Germany, the United Kingdom, and USA , dealing with several mining and metallurgical projects in aluminium and ıron&steel sectors, e.g.ISDEMIR, as well as imports of mining , metallurgical, railway and sugar industry equipment and the export of various mineral and industrial products. Alpaslan Girayalp has wide experience in diverse fields of international business management and development.Ahmet Yucel MBA Ahmet Yucel has 35 years of global management and consultancy experience in Turkey, the USA, Holland and Saudi Arabia in various sectors such as government, aerospace/defense, automotive, IT/ERP/BPR, finance, health and management consulting. He is an expert in strategy development, reorganization and project management. He served at top level management positions in various companies, created JV’s, coordinated projects and implemented methodologies and systems. He has covered around 40 countries during his business contacts, while working at Unisys in Saudi Arabia, EDS and OEA in the USA, and Koc Holding, Hattat Holding and Turkish Electrical Authority in Turkey. Mr. Yucel taught also at universities, addressed to various international platforms and moderated sessions on various subjects. He received his BSEE degree from Middle East Technical University and MBA degree from Gazi University, MSc degree(economics) from the University of Baltimore along with CPIM and PMP certifications from APICS and PMI. Murat Yulek Prof. Dr. Murat Yulek, has extensive experience in international project finance and economic development. He took responsibilities in more than 15 countries during his tenures at institutions such as the International Monetary Fund, the Islamic Development Bank and the World Bank. He has served as chairman, director and executive at financial and non-financial institutions. Taught at Georgetown and Yale Universities Dr. Yulek authored a number of books and articles in economics and finance. He also authors articles and regular columns at Turkish and international media. He serves as member of advisory board of various institutions and academic journals. He received his Ph. D. and M.A. degrees in economics from Bilkent University, MBA degree from Yale University, MSM (Management) degree from Boston University and B.Sc. degree from Bogazici University. Ertan Yulek MBA Dr. Ertan Yülek has over 45 years of professional experience spanning transportation, industry, university. He is an expert in financial and economic analysis having led the preparation or assessment of numerous feasibility studies. He has assumed key responsibilities in Turkey as Undersecretary of Transportation, Undersecretary of State Planning Organization as well as Chief Advisor to Turkish Prime Minister and Turkish President. He has taken executive management responsibilities in large government and private sector entities such as CEO of Turkish Sugar Industries Corp., Deputy CEO of Sumerbank (state owned largest textile manufacturing and banking conglomerate), CEO of Hattat Industries Corp., Ugurgul Corp., Birko Textiles. As Undersecretary of Transportatiton, he has overseen seaport, airport and railway development and telecommunications system in Turkey under the premiership of late Turgut Ozal. As Deputy Undersecretary and Undersecretary of State Planning Organization, he has overseen all public transportation, energy, education, and other infrastructure planning in Turkey. As General Director of Incentives he has taken leadership role in designing the industrial and regional incentive schemes during the fast industrialization period of 1970s. He also oversaw the first privatisation study in Turkey mandated to Morgan Guarantee (USA). He has also been elected as the Chairman of Turkish Parliament’s Budget and Planning Commission during his tenure as MP. He has authoıred various books including on preparation of feasibility studies. He has taught in different universities, the same subject in addition to plant layout classes. He has B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in MEchanical Engineering (Istanbul Technical University), an MBA degree (Istanbul University under the oversight of Harvard University), and a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering (Linear Programming) from Ege University. |
