Prof. Dr. Murat Ali Yülek is a distinguished academic, author, and policy advisor, currently serving as the Rector of OSTİM Technical University and a professor of economics and finance. He also chairs the Centre for Industrial Policy and Development.He holds degrees from Boğaziçi University (B.A. in Economics), Boston University (M.A. in Economics), and Yale University (M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Economics).Prof. Yülek has served in various senior roles in government, finance, and development institutions, including as an advisor to ministries and international organizations such as the United Nations, Islamic Development Bank.

He received his GCE from London University North Western Polytechnic, his B.Sc. in Mining Engineering and M.Sc. (Research) from Sheffield University, and worked as a research engineer at ICI in England. Upon returning to Türkiye, he contributed to the construction of the country’s first aluminium complex, ETI Aluminium (ETIBANK), where he served as Mine Manager, Technical Advisor, and Deputy General Director.He has extensive experience in international business management and development across diverse sectors.
