Shirley Lambert is a professional English editor. She has 25 years work experience as a professional executive. Between 1995-2002, she was the vice president, associate publisher and editorial director of Scarecrow Press and Scarecrow Education (divisions of Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group). During her tenure at Scarecrow Press and Scarecrow Education, she set new standards for editorial oversight and production, resulting in multiple awards from professional societies. Currently, she is a free-lance consultant and editor in Paris, teaching English for International Students and Critical Reading and Writing; both courses emphasize academic writing. She also teaches professional English one-to-one and in small classes in French organizations—INPI (the French government office for patents and trademarks), Cinémathèque de Paris, Esprit, Johnson & Johnson. She holds a B.A. degree in Political Science (Wellesley College, Wellesley, Mass., USA.) and an M.B.A. (University of Colorado, Denver, Colorado, USA.)
